佛光-西來--通識、學院課程對接表2019.12.05更新Fo Guang – Hsi Lai General Education & College Course Mapping (Updated 2019/12/05) Important Notice: Since the 2018 academic year, manual course addition forms have been discontinued. Students who need to add courses must do so directly through the system. Exceeding credit limits requires certification by the Office of International Affairs. Please [Click Here to Download] the certification steps and submit the application during the course add/drop period for Semester 2 of the 2019 academic year. Starting from the 2019 academic year, students are allowed to freely select courses without restrictions on student status, department, class, or grade level. Taiwan-US Dual Degree Program – Admission Language Evaluation 1. Language Proficiency Assessment Students with a TOEFL score below 69 must take the English Proficiency Test (EPT). Based on the results, students will be placed into either an ESL (English as a Second Language) program or Bridge Courses. Note: ESL courses are not the same as Bridge Courses. 2. Bridge Course Levels 90 Series: 12 credits, 4 courses (Writing, Speaking, Grammar, Reading) 100 Series: 12 credits, 4 courses (Writing, Speaking, English Skills, Reading) Note: Students enrolled in 100-series courses may take undergraduate courses simultaneously with advisor approval but must study under academic course guidance. 3. Academic Writing Test All students (both domestic and international) must take this test upon admission, regardless of English proficiency. Passing the test allows direct enrollment into undergraduate courses. Failing the test requires enrollment in 100A College Writing (3 credits), which must be paid for by the student. 4. Hsi Lai University Credit Fee Subsidy Students admitted into the Taiwan-US Dual Degree formal program are eligible for credit fee subsidies for up to two years (four semesters). The subsidy covers 12 credits per semester, totaling 48 credits. Note: Tuition fees at U.S. universities increase annually.
