Event | Taiwan Career Development and Counseling Association - "Narrative Therapy Practice Workshop: Basic Level + Group Supervision

  • 2025-05-08

Our association has invited Narrative Therapy Master, Professor Huang Su-Fei, to conduct the "Narrative Therapy Practice Workshop: Basic Level + Group Supervision" from May 4 to May 24, 2025.

This course is designed for those interested in applying narrative therapy and beginners who are new to the practice.

With a postmodern perspective, the workshop will establish the basic assumptions of narrative therapy and offer in-depth practice on narrative therapy dialogue techniques.
Years of experience have taught me that: "The so-called 'clients' are only those who are ready to change themselves." The "questions" in narrative therapy provide an invitation for the clients to "prepare themselves for change." For narrative therapists, the "story" is the way clients share their life experiences. Therapists are curious about how clients interpret their lives through stories, and they attempt to co-create meaning while returning the authorship to the client—the real psychological worker.

Course Features:

  • This course is suitable for beginner narrative therapists.

  • The course will be taught by Professor Huang Su-Fei, a renowned figure in the Chinese-speaking psychotherapy community and the author of the book "The Spirit and Practice of Narrative Therapy."

  • Postmodern narrative therapy offers counselors and clients a broader range of perspectives and methods, creating a more equal co-writing relationship and facilitating the flow of localized knowledge.

  • The course focuses on practical exercises based on lived experiences, with theoretical knowledge serving as the backdrop. In the serene garden of learning, the vitality of life will bloom.
