On Wednesday, October 23, one of Fo Guang University's annual highlights, the "School Anthem and Creative 'Three Good Things' Song Competition," was held at the Huai En Hall with a lively and exciting atmosphere! This competition was not only a musical celebration but also a battle of creativity and team spirit.
This year’s competition was filled with highlights. In addition to the traditional performances of the school anthem and "Three Good Things" song, a new challenge was introduced: the "Self-Selected Song Mixed with 'Three Good Things' Song" segment, which sparked brainstorming and unleashed boundless creativity among the freshmen. The competition ran from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, and the excitement kept everyone glued to the event.
The participants gave their all, with many freshmen experiencing a surge of inspiration and creativity for this competition, almost as if they were playing a game of "How to give Master Hsing Yun’s 'Three Good Things' philosophy a fabulous makeover."
The Department of Psychology truly gave their best. With over a month of intensive rehearsals guided by second- and third-year senior students from the department's student association, their experience sharing and selfless dedication led the freshmen to success. They didn’t miss a single note or beat, and even the breaths were perfectly synchronized. Their performance was not just music; it felt like a spiritual cleansing that perfectly expressed the "Three Good Things" spirit, singing the philosophy of "Think good thoughts, speak good words, and do good deeds" into everyone's hearts.
Hand in hand, they collectively created and walked together to the stage, moving the entire audience. The audience frequently gasped in awe, and even senior students couldn't help but stand and applaud!
In the end, the freshmen from the Department of Psychology stood out from many other teams, winning first place with their extraordinary creativity and teamwork. Their victory was not just about taking first place; it was more than a musical triumph—it was an opportunity for spiritual growth, creativity, collective creation, and the unity of team spirit.
