| Education & Career Development: Bachelor’s in Psychology, Fo Guang University Master’s in Psychology and Education, University of Sheffield, UK I was admitted to Fo Guang University in Taiwan after taking the gaokao (China's national college entrance examination). After completing all my credits in the third year, I applied for an exchange year at Kyonggi University in South Korea. Due to my future development plans and goals, I later applied to the University of Sheffield in the UK to continue my studies in Psychology and Education. After submitting my dissertation, I worked for a year at Wenzhou University. I am now seeking better career opportunities for the future. Current Position / Current Studies: Graduated from the University of Sheffield, Master’s in Psychology and Education. |

What did the Psychology Department at Fo Guang University offer you? I think Fo Guang University's Psychology Department first provided me with a new teaching format and experience. The course structure was diverse, not just one-way lectures but often combining theory with practical experience. The department also gave me many colorful experiences. For example, we participated in debates like debaters, interviewed psychologists like reporters, and taught and provided guidance in schools like teachers. Finally, the department helped enhance my abilities, including my report writing, English, logical thinking, and tool usage skills. Overall, my four years at Fo Guang’s Psychology Department brought me many gains and growth. Impressions of the Psychology Department at Fo Guang University I think it was warm and interesting, with many lively classmates and kind, lovely teachers. During my time at Fo Guang, my friends brought me many experiences and interesting perspectives. In the past, I never imagined that my relationship with teachers would be so gentle and friendly, like friends. I still vividly remember a time when a teacher talked to us about career development. At that time, I had many uncertainties and confusion, but the teacher gave me warm and helpful advice. Although I didn’t get a proper farewell due to the pandemic, I hope to return in the future as I miss everyone. A Message for High School Students I hope future juniors will take action if they have an idea! If they have a goal, they should plan to achieve it. Since they are still young, there are many opportunities to make mistakes and many possibilities in the future. They can try different life paths. I hope that when they look back on this time in the future, they will have no regrets. |
