Recruitment Announcement for Clinical Psychology Interns at New Taipei City Hospital (2025)
Hospital Highlights:
- Psychologist Team: 5 clinical psychologists in the Psychiatry Department.
- Multidisciplinary Teaching: Outpatient (children/adolescent, adult, elderly, neuropsychology), inpatient consultation, public education, etc.
- Diverse Psychological Therapy Training: Psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal process therapy, sandplay therapy, art therapy, mentalization-based therapy for children, play therapy, neurofeedback therapy, and group therapy approaches, allowing students to be exposed to multiple therapeutic modalities.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Graduate students from domestic and international universities, psychology departments, or clinical psychology programs, who have completed core courses in "Clinical Psychology" recognized by the Ministry of Education and intend to start their third-year internship.
Internship Categories:

First Round Internship (2025): Expected to recruit 4-5 interns.
- Duration: July 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025.

Second Round Internship (2025): Expected to recruit 4-5 interns.
- Duration: January 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026.
- Note: Students can apply for both rounds for a full-year internship.
Internship Locations:
- New Taipei City Hospital, Sanchong and Banqiao Branches (Shuttle bus available between both locations).
- Sanchong Branch: 3, Xinzhi Road, Sanchong District, New Taipei City (near MRT Caijiao Station, Exit 3, Zhongshan Art Park).
- Banqiao Branch: 198, Yingshi Road, Banqiao District, New Taipei City (10-minute walk from MRT Xinpu Station).
- Dormitory options available for students whose household registration is outside of New Taipei City or distant areas of New Taipei City.
Internship Content:

Clinical Psychology Practice:
- Psychological Assessment: Child, adult, elderly, neuropsychological assessments, military service assessments.
- Psychotherapy Training: Individual therapy (e.g., psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal process, mentalization-based therapy for children, play therapy), group therapy. Students may choose two supervisors to participate in training with different therapeutic approaches.
- Psychological Health Education: Depending on the internship situation, clinical psychologists will guide students to participate in public health programs, community outreach seminars, etc.

Cross-disciplinary Clinical Psychology Practice:
- Clinical Psychologist Discussion Groups: Weekly clinical case group supervision led by clinical psychologists.
- Psychiatrist Discussion Groups: Monthly clinical case discussions with psychiatrists and clinical psychologists.
- Interdisciplinary Case Discussions: Each semester, internship students can participate in interdisciplinary team case discussions (involving physicians, nursing, pharmacology, psychology, nutrition, etc.).
- Inpatient Clinical Care Learning: Depending on the internship situation, students may participate in inpatient consultation, case visits, and the work of psychiatrists in hospital consultations and referrals.
- Specialized Medical Clinical Learning: The hospital has a burn rehabilitation center. Students may provide psychological assessments, interventions, and rehabilitation for burn patients under clinical supervision.
- Clinical-Related Administrative Duties: Performed on a rotating basis.

Deadline: November 29, 2025 (Friday), based on the postmark of the recommendation letter. The review process includes written evaluation and interview. Applicants who pass the written evaluation will be notified via SMS by December 6, 2025 (Friday) for the interview.

Interview Date: December 13, 2025 (Friday), at the Sanchong Branch, Emergency Building, 10th floor, Room 102.

Notification of Results: Interview results will be sent via SMS on December 17, 2025 (Tuesday). Please confirm internship intentions by December 19, 2025 (Thursday).

Internship Application from School: Once accepted, applicants should have their school submit an official internship application to the hospital, and upon signing the internship agreement, complete required health examinations.

Internship Stipend: NT$1000 per month, to be paid on the first day of the internship at the General Affairs Office (Cashier).

Dormitory: Available for students whose household registration is outside of New Taipei City or remote areas within New Taipei City. Dormitory fee: NT$800 per month. If you need accommodation, please have your school submit an official request to the hospital.

Data Disposal: The hospital will destroy the data of unsuccessful applicants.
