What did the Psychology Department at Fo Guang University offer you? It provided opportunities to expand my worldview, a solid foundation in research writing and statistics, hands-on experience in academic publishing, and valuable event-planning experience. During my studies, I had the privilege of participating in the university’s 2+2 exchange program, earning a dual degree and broadening my perspectives by studying in the United States. Our professors encouraged us to conduct experiments and write research papers, strengthening our research and analytical skills. Additionally, our department organized psychology research conferences, allowing us to gain real-world experience in academic presentations. As the secretary of the student association, I also had the opportunity to organize various events, applying my knowledge in practice while honing essential workplace skills like project planning and communication. Impressions of the Psychology Department at Fo Guang University The professors and classmates were fantastic! Our professors had extensive teaching experience and engaging methods, often using interactive activities rather than just textbook learning. We explored psychology beyond the curriculum through reports and research projects, deepening our understanding of the field. The camaraderie among students was also exceptional. Whether among classmates, seniors, or juniors, everyone supported and learned from each other, fostering strong and lasting friendships.
