Seminar|Invitation to Participate in Professional Helping Courses

Hsinchu City Mental Health Promotion Association will hold a professional empowerment course on Object Relations Theory. These courses aim to enhance the professional skills of helping professionals by providing the latest practical techniques and knowledge, helping you be more effective in supporting those in need. Additionally, this will be a great opportunity to network with peers in the field and expand your professional knowledge.

The course instructor is Dr. Chai Shun-Liang, a seasoned expert in Object Relations Theory. In Course A, the curriculum introduces scholars such as Klein, Bion, Fairbairn, Kernberg, Kohut, and others, covering the theory and practical application of Object Relations from an introductory level to advanced practice. Course B will offer a "hands-on" approach, using simple and accessible language, ensuring that even those unfamiliar with Object Relations Theory can learn and develop positive, constructive interpersonal skills.

Instructor Profile - Dr. Chai Shun-Liang

  • Education: PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas, USA; National Taiwan Normal University, Graduate Institute of Counseling
  • Experience: Full-time Associate Professor at the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, National Taiwan Normal University; Part-time Associate Professor at the Institute of Education, Taipei City University (Educational Psychology and Counseling); Professional Supervisor in Counseling/Clinical Psychology/Social Work (individual/group).
  • Specialties: Personality Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychopathology, Object Relations Theory and Therapy, Stress Coping and Emotional Management, Interpersonal Communication and Conflict Resolution, Intimate Relationship (Parent-Child/Partner) Development and Coping.
