[2025 Spring Psychoanalytic-oriented Psychotherapy Lecture in Taipei/Taichung/Tainan/Kaohsiung]

In November 1902, Freud extended this invitation to Adler and other early doctors, intellectuals, and artists interested in psychoanalysis, initiating weekly Wednesday evening meetings at Freud’s residence. During these meetings, many famous case studies were presented for the first time, and numerous influential psychoanalytic theories and therapeutic techniques were discussed, nurtured, and formed. In 1908, based on these gatherings, the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society was established.

Since 2005, the Taiwan Psychoanalytic Society has been holding introductory courses every Wednesday evening for the past twenty years. These are now held in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung. The courses begin every spring (March) and autumn (September), with each season consisting of twelve sessions (two hours each on Wednesday evenings). The courses systematically introduce the basic concepts of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic-oriented psychotherapy, contemporary theories, and clinical practices, offering a clear and comprehensive introduction for beginners. These courses are suitable for both the general public and professionals interested in psychoanalysis.
