Course Introduction

"Psychological Displacement" is an indigenous psychological concept referring to the internal movement of different self-states triggered by switching between different grammatical persons (I, You, S/He). Over the past twenty years, research has shown that psychological displacement aids in emotional relief, self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-care, and self-stabilization.

This course will guide you through the experience of the Psychological Displacement Writing Task, help you understand its therapeutic effects, and explore its expansions and applications. Content includes various modes of psychological displacement writing, the Psychological Displacement Empty Chair technique, and Psychological Displacement Drawing.
